New Variation of Orked's Cheese Dessert

I was doing grocery shopping when Qeen texted me up and asked if she could order Orked's Cheese Dessert with Mini Oreos. So, I surveyed the price of the Mini Oreo and agreed to make one for her.

Days before that, I made another variation of Orked's Cheese Dessert. It was for my fiance's "Doa Selamat" on a Saturday night before he leaves to study abroad the following Tuesday. This time, I've substituted the original crushed biscuits base with crushed Oreo base and stuffed Merci Crocant Chocolates in the creamy cheese filling.

Orked's Ultimate Cheese Dessert Indulgence

It was Sunday when Zahirah asked me on Facebook if it's possible to order Orked's Cheese Dessert with FIVE TYPES OF CHOCOLATES!

I was pretty surprised with her request because to me, Orked's Maltwickers Cheese Dessert is the most I can handle as it is packed with THREE TYPES OF CHOCOLATES: Maltesers, Twix and Snickers in the creamy cheese layer. I made Maltwickers Cheese Dessert last weekend for a function at home. As usual, I experimented my desserts on my family before officiating it for sale. And everybody approved it! Alhamdulillah! However, Zahirah's request is one odd request. I couldn't help myself! I was so tempted to attempt this extremely chocolate-y dessert and actually, accepted her order! So, I calculated the price for this ultimate dessert and Zahirah agreed on paying for it. Happily! Yes, the chocolate fanatic, Zahirah was in pure bliss when I confirmed her order. *giggles*

NEW! Orked's Mars Cheese Dessert

I've been in creative mode recently. Cream cheese, Mars bars and Milo kept running through my mind. And look what I came up with. I present you, Orked's very own Mars Cheese Dessert! Ta-da!

I actually made up the recipe of this dessert, just based on my basic knowledge of making cold desserts. I first made this dessert for a BBQ at the beach with some friends. It was a potluck BBQ, so I suggested on bringing along some dessert. I've been wanting to try to make this but just didn't have the urge to make them until this very BBQ at the beach. So, I went off to Giant Hypermarket in the morning and bought the ingredients for this dessert. Instead of using Mars bars, I used Toblerone. I bought the one with honeycomb bits in it. The boys and girl *winks to Diyah* totally loved it. My made up recipe succeeded in pleasing the young hearts. But then, I decided to substitute the Toblerone with Mars bars when my mum asked me to make this very same dessert for a family gathering last Monday. And Alhamdulillah, it is again a success! Approved by many people too. And totally stole my grans', uncles', aunts' and cousins' hearts. So, I made my final decision to sell this very dessert of mine with a variety of chocolate bars for you to choose from.

The Story of Orked's Dark Chocolate Mud Cake

I am a huge fan of dark chocolates and loves to indulge myself with chocolate cakes. My first taste of a rich, indulging chocolate cake was a Polo Club's Chocolate Cake. I didn't get the actual name of the cake because it was a Hari Raya gift from my aunt, Datin Hjh Rosnah, (who happens to be a fanatic dark chocolate fan too) the wife of my uncle, Dato Paduka Hj Abd Rahman Hj Mohiddin. The cake was totally fabulous and really satisfying my chocolate craves. So, I made an effort to do a research on every chocolate cookbooks I have on my shelf and found a recipe, which I thought would have a really chocolatey outcome. And it totally is! It is so rich and chocolatey that my family loved it a lot as well as everybody. It has been an all time favourite and since then, I never failed to make one (or more) every year for serving during my Hari Raya open house. My first attempt on making the cake was a complete success.

Orked's Dark Chocolate Mud Cake is selling at the price of $35. It is 11" in diameter, covered in hazelnut chocolate frosting and and sprinkled with crushed nuts on the side! You can either have it as 11" diameter circle cake or 9" by 9" square cake. Or have it extra large (14" by 10" rectangle cake) at $70. Extra charges will be charged for fresh fruits garnishes. Peach Trifle... Loved by Many Men!

Two is more than one. Therefore, anything more than one is many. When I mentioned "many men", I was referring to my other half and his brother, Haji Asri. *giggles* Too bad I only made one because if I had more, many would have the opportunity to taste them. And it would have captured more hearts.

Haji Asri was skeptic when he found out about the peaches in the dessert so he took just a small portion on to his dessert plate. I just don't know why some people finds peaches a turn off. Peaches are wonderful yet nutritious! At his first bite, his eyes widened with awe. And later, took a huge glop of the hearty indulgence. I find myself smiling in total delight. Do you see how the Peach Trifle can melt the heart of a man? Well, it's proven!

Last Batch of Cookies

Since I started baking cookies this year, I have so far finished a whole lot of two kilograms of butter!
